Existing former Chapel at 110 Johnson Lane Annandale. Original and untouched space with dark timber floors, white walls and high raked ceilings.

Brief:

Design a space for 6 hair stations, hair wash and make up stations.
“Make it beautiful”.

Design:

The concept was to keep the space untouched and insert sharp modern custom furniture and joinery to show the contrast between the old and the new. Sharp black steel, Mirrors, Blackbutt Hardwood and Form ply form the structure and monochrome palette. The design is hard and angular which work well with the soaring space. Your hair is washed on a small podium at the altar for a touch of drama.
